                               About me?

Tain't much to tell really, just an old man who doesn't want to see the children of this world grow up in a world governed by tyranny. I am a retired Chef who loves to feed folks and an old school Hippy.

I think Government is supposed to work for the people not people working for the benefit of those in power. I believe in what our Founding Fathers had in mind for a Free Nation and I believe it has been striped from us while we weren't looking. Only by speaking out will any thing be changed. So here I are. I don't know what good my one voice is/can do, but to remain silent would be a crime against my fellow Americans and Generations as yet unborn.

We are at a Pivotal Point in the history of Man, the population has risen to huge numbers Resources are being consumed at an alarming rate the globe is warming [it makes no difference if you believe man is to blame or its just the cycle of hot cold caused by the erratic orbit of the planet.] the two largest faiths of the world are at War with themselves and each other and the wealth of the world is in the hands of just a few. At no other point in history has it been possible to have a one World Government. Not that stopped any one from trying but now, at this time in history it has become possible.

A New World Order. At first glance a unified world would offer Peace and security and economic stability for the "States" united thus. The second thought should be, At what price? We live in a grand time a moment in history that will have repercussions for many, many generations.

We can let it just happen, after all a lot of people think its going to happen any way so why fight it. Or we can question it at every turn force it to reflect the value of Freedom if its going to happen then make it do the right thing.

If you believe like I do then tell your neighbors educate anyone you can speak out.

                       A Poem by, Doc Smith

From atop the highest mast I espied a ship out on the tossing sea. From that perch slid I down a line near at hand to me.

The faster to put boots upon the deck. Ah said I, saved at last from this cussed wreak.

I raced to the bow with glass in hand to mark it's spot at sea. But alas t'was not to be.

For I am alone on this Salton sea.

From Bow to Poop I paced while gazing thru the glass. With nary a trace, No, not sail nor brace. Nothing but the seething brine.

Was't it mist or mote in me eye t'was espied from a'top the mast. Or t'was the devil tempting me. Search as I might t'was nary a sign.

For I am alone on this salton sea.

Standing alone on the canted deck it occured to me. I'd lived my life A'Bucaneer with many a foe and to few a friend. That life t'was wot brought me here to stride upon this empty deck. T'was meant to be.

For I am alone on this salton sea.

A few Quotes I like.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." [Samuel Adams]

It takes chains of steel to enslave a rational human, but all the rest may be enslaved by a belief. [unknown]

Mistrust those in whom the urge to punish is strong.
--Friedrich Nietzsche

It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on his not understanding it.
-- Upton Sinclair, "The Jungle"

In Germany they first came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me--and by that time no one was left to speak up.
-- Pastor Martin Niemoller

It is not the function of our Government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the Government from falling into error.
-- U.S. Supreme Court, in American Communications Association v. Douds, 339 U.S. 382,442

“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” ~ H.L. Mencken, 1880-1956

“A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it.”                        [George W. Bush]
